These lovely things have already been purchased and they now live in jewelry boxes and homes instead of here in my studio.
But they’re still fun to look at!
If you own one of these, take a selfie, post it to Facebook or Instagram, and tag Consider Grace. I would love to see you wearing one of my little creations. And if you own one that’s not posted here, send me a pic so I can add it!

New Year Collection – January 2016
For this collection, I decided to name each necklace with a word that reminds me of newness. The newness of the new year, but also of the rescue and redemption that come because of your donations.

Miscellaneous – Christmas 2015
These were mostly sold in person, and many of them were bought as gifts for other people. What a great way to show generosity! A pretty necklace and a donation to a good cause.

Auction Sale – December 2015
I named these necklaces after my prayer for every rescued girl — that they would recognize they are Chosen and Beloved, that they would see and believe how they have been Redeemed by Jesus, and that they would come to realize how Peaceful and Fearless they can be when they lean on Him.
These were all a part of our first ever auction-style sale. The auction took place on Facebook for 48 hours and raised $208 to fight sex trafficking.

Just As Real Collection – June 2015
I was struck one day by the tendency I have, when faced with horrifying accounts of people held in sex slavery, to surrender to the darkness all around us…okay, Darkness, you win. We can’t take it anymore. The statistics alone can be overwhelming.
So in the spirit of remembering the individuals behind the stories and statistics, I named each necklace for a girl that has been rescued by the East African arm of the Safe program at Crisis Aid. You can read more in the blog post I wrote about it here.

Miscellaneous 2015
These were all sold randomly throughout 2015, and most of them were never a part of an official collection.

Miscellaneous 2014
Once I started making necklaces, I was totally hooked. Some of these I don’t even remember making! Also, please forgive the photo quality…let’s just say I’ve [ahem] improved.

‘Junk Necklace’ Premier Collection – February 2014
When the Consider Grace shop first opened years ago, it was filled with all kinds of repurposed things…paper-covered tin cans, old t-shirts turned into scarves, flowers made from toilet paper rolls, flowers made from book pages, flowers made from anything I could get my hands on. Pinterest wasn’t really a thing yet, so rather than everyone upcycling their own things, everyone gave their old things to me to upcycle.
At some point, I acquired a bunch of broken jewelry, brainstormed about how to use it, and voila! The classic jewelry of Consider Grace was born. I used to call them ‘Junk Necklaces’, because they were made of peoples’ old junk…but I’ve since come to my senses and realized the word ‘Junk’ doesn’t exactly convey lovely, precious, feminine accessories. And I’ve since narrowed my focus to almost exclusively creating jewelry {plus a banner or two thrown in here and there}.
My dear Sarah Spohn photographed this first collection for me, and it sold out in a week {I’m convinced this was due to her awesomeness}. See the first blog post about it all here.
