Junk Necklaces – New Shop Item!

JunkNecklaces

Ok.  Whew.  Remain calm, Anna Joy.  Deep, cleansing breaths.

mmmmrrrrraaaaAAAGGGHHHH!  I just can’t!  I am SO excited to share these new shop items with you.  Ahhhhh!! {panting}

These beauties got finished up a few weeks ago, and then photographed by the lovely and talented Sarah Spohn, and they are now in the shop and ready for you to bring them on home.

I give you…the Junk Necklace Collection.  {Insert Doug Funnie seeing Patti Mayonnaise angelic “aaah” sound effect here.}

{Dear boys who are reading this…you may choose to skip the next paragraph due to an over-abundance of chick-talk.}

Many of you know the feeling.  You buy a necklace that is awesome, but eventually the chain breaks.  You buy a gorgeous and perfect pair of earrings, and you lose one.  I have always loved earrings, but when I chopped my hair a couple of years ago, earrings went from being an accessory to being a staple.  I realized that I just didn’t feel very girly, apparently, without something attached to my head that swings when I walk.  So I went sort of earring crazy and bought a whole bunch.  Over the months, I have misplaced and lost many of them, and combined with my pile of donated jewelry from some of you precious readers, I came up with this idea…take the prettiest parts of the broken/matchless jewelry and pile them together in a bundle of awesomeness to wear on its own.

The repurposing gods smiled down upon me, my kitchen table was covered in gemstones and clasps and beads and charms, and three days later, out popped these lovely Junk Necklaces…
